Born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia, Reverend Robert Bryant’s journey has been one of steadfast faith, lifelong learning, and devoted service. A proud graduate of Cartersville High School, he went on to serve his country as a member of the Marine Corps Reserves before pursuing higher education at the University of Georgia.

There, Rev. Bryant earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work, later becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker a calling that reflects his deep compassion and commitment to helping others heal and grow.

Never content to stand still, Rev. Bryant has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and earned numerous professional certificates. His love for learning extends to his spiritual walk as well he has studied at Luther Rice University and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, working toward a Master of Divinity degree. His dream is to one day pursue a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies or a Doctor of Ministry with a focus on Biblical Counseling, blending his heart for people with his love for God’s Word.

Rev. Bryant’s story of faith and family began in 1986 when he met his beloved wife, Cassandra, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Not long after, Cassandra invited him to worship at Shiloh Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia a moment that would change his life. He joined the fellowship, became an ordained deacon, and faithfully served until God called him to a higher purpose. In 2000, under the leadership of Pastor Johnny E. McBurrows, he was licensed to preach the Gospel at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. One year later, he received his Ministerial Ordination, stepping fully into the calling God placed on his life.

In January 2009, Reverend Bryant answered another divine call to serve as the Senior Pastor of Mars Hill Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia. For over sixteen years, he has faithfully shepherded the congregation with wisdom, humility, and a heart anchored in the Word of God. Under his leadership, Mars Hill has grown not only in number but in spirit becoming a community grounded in love, discipleship, and service.

Reverend Bryant and his wife Cassandra have been married for 37 beautiful years. Together, they have one daughter, Alexandria (“Alex”), whose life continues to reflect their shared legacy of faith and family.

Through every season, Rev. Bryant’s life stands as a testimony: that when God calls, obedience leads to purpose and purpose leads to lives transformed.
